CITY OF SAN FERNANDO — The LausGroup Event Centre (LGEC), dubbed as the biggest event center in Central Luzon, is set to host the Miss Earth International 2017 Swimsuit Fashion and Resort Wear Competition on October 24

During the contract signing between Carousel Productions Inc. (CPI) and the Laus Group of Companies held Monday, October 9, CPI vice president and project director Melissa Veneracion noted that LGEC was chosen as the venue because of its world-class features.

“We’ve seen that the LausGroup Event Centre is the best venue in the region. The place is grand, elegant, and has state-of-the-art amenities, so we’re sure that holding our much-awaited resort wear competition here will be a success,” she said.

She said this is the first time for the competition to be held in Pampanga, and she is anticipating that in the coming years, the LGEC will be the regular host of the event.

“We’re really grateful for Mr. Levy Laus and his family’s support and hospitality. They’re sponsorship is really a big help,” she said.

Laus Group of Companies executive director Carisa Laus said the company believes in the advocacies of the Miss Earth International.

“We are very privileged to partner with the Miss Earth for their pre-pageant. We’re happy that when they chose a venue here in Central Luzon, the LGEC is their top of mind choice,” she said. “We are proud to host this year’s swimsuit competition and we will support Miss Earth’s causes and endeavors all the way,” she added.

Miss Earth is an international pageant known for promoting environmental awareness.

CPI conceptualized, organized, and launched the event in 2001 as a competition that channels the beauty pageant industry as an effective tool in promoting significant projects and addressing issues concerning the environment, among others. Now on its 17th year, Miss Earth continues to build its reputation as the most relevant and worthwhile beauty pageant in world, setting a legacy of beauty and responsibility.

The Miss Earth International 2017 Coronation Night is set on November 5 at the Mall of Asia arena in Manila.
