After Ice Seguerra’s concert, RW 95.1 FM and Countryside Entertainment Incorporated are staging in Pampanga another world-class homegrown talent, Nonoy Zuñiga.

Yes! We shall all be witnesses to the great entertainment that Nonoy Zuñiga, the voice behind timeless Original Pilipino Music (OPM) classics “Never Ever Say Goodbye”, “Love Without Time” and “Live for Love” promises for North and Central Luzon audiences.

Fast becoming to be a favorite concert destination for local and international talents, LausGroup Event Centre will once again be the venue for another notable man of music.

Who could ever forget the songs “Kumusta Ka?” and “Doon Lang” immortalized by no less than the King of Philippine Cinema, Fernando Poe, Jr., when he sang these Nonoy Zuñiga masterpieces in two of his movies?

With FPJ, who was not so-well-known to be a music lover, falling in love with Nonoy’s songs (he even mustered enough courage to sing them before the camera), it’s no wonder Mr. Zuñiga’s pieces have become common staples among videoke enthusiasts up to this day.

Not too many could ever resist singing or even just humming at the sound of Nonoy Zuñiga’s music, especially “Init sa Magdamag” which he recorded with the Megastar, Sharon Cuneta.

Perhaps it is the heart-warming melodies, no non-sense lyrics, the soothing balladeer’s voice and the story behind them all that made all of Nonoy Zuniga’s songs such precious OPM treasures.

From the 80s to the present, Nonoy Zuñiga never ceased to captivate music-lovers, leading him to record one hit after another. Zuñiga has just arrived from Canada where he did shows with Joey Albert. He is scheduled to launch his duet with Jolianne Salvado of a Cebuano song “Pero Atik Ra”. His memorable recordings include The Duet Album with an interesting line-up of guests like Martin Nievera, Janet Basco, Monique Wilson, Nanette Inventor, Lloyd Umali, Rico J.; Impressions, an all-pop, all-English, all-acoustic album; and his latest The Love Album from Viva Records which turned gold on the second month and platinum on the fifth.
